Abstract

In June of 2022 the US Supreme Court choose to overturn Roe v. Wade. Since then (and even prior) individuals with uteri have voiced concern about their ability to access reproductive health care. An Opinion Piece uses crochet, a traditionally femme and domesticated craft, to share the concern in regards to state and federal control over reproductive health care. The sculpture is surrounded by white chloroplast boards next to a crochet banner with the inscription "An Opinion Piece. If you have one, share it." The sculpture invites viewers to write their opinion on the boards concerning reproductive health care rights in the United States.
